When driving in Thailand, beware of the following:

• Vehicles entering from side roads may not stop
• any heavy vehicle may overtake regardless of the oncoming traffic
• Oncoming traffic may overtake on blind corners
• Traffic may overtake you on the inside
• Let impatient drivers overtake you
• Vehicles drive at night without lights
• Watch out for gravel and sand on the roads
