The Easy Way to see the Durban Area

If you have your own transport, a series of self-drive tours has been developed that enable you to soak in the atmosphere of Durban and its environs.

Three tours go north, South and west to show you the best of the scenery, the ambience, the culture and the history of the area. Each is very different with a character all its own so if you can, travel over all three or combine them with another trip but each one allows a full day to absorb the attractions and features.

All the Milescapes are clearly signposted from the roadside and are easy to follow - T1 takes you west to Assagay, T2 takes you South to Umkomaas and T3 takes you north to Salt Rock.

All extend to around 40kms from Durban so there is no excessive driving. The features have been carefully chosen to enable you to make the best use of your time. All trips start at the Durban City Hall.

A full, explanatory brochure with maps is available from Tourist Junction. Mouseover the Map Bullet to the right to see the Milescape routes.
