As with the rest of South Africa, Durban is sports mad. The all year fine weather enables anyone who has the slightest inclination towards any sort of sport, whether indoor or outdoor, to take full advantage of it. Each evening, the roads of the suburbs are full of joggers enjoying the evening light. At weekends, the full spectrum of water sports is easily visible from almost any part of the beachfront - surfers, bodyboarders, paddle skis, canoes, yachts, catamarans, jet skis and a variety of other craft. Summer cricket and winter rugby and soccer are always well supported.
