The luxurious Phinda Nyala Lodge offers luxury accommodation and a wide variety of activities. There are game drives in the morning and early afternoon, there is a cruise on the Mzinene river during which, at sunset, snacks and drinks are served and there are night drives and accompanied day walks and trips to adjacent reserves and the coast.

Instead of the river cruise, guests may paddle down by canoe and for an unforgettable experience, a private bush dinner may be arranged.

The terrain varies from boulder outcrops on the foothills of the Lebombo mountains, to acacia bushveld, to woodlands to dense reedbeds at the margins of the river.

Elephant Apart from up to 400 species of birds, visitors can encounter elephant, giraffe, rhino, zebra, cheetah, hyaena, hippo, crocodile, wildebeest, impala, monkeys, leopard and lion.

The accommodation is suitably luxurious with six two bed chalets and fifteen two bed bush suites each with a separate lounge area. Each private unit has spectacular views over the reserve.

The dining area is a large open air boma in which the guests enjoy a sumptuous dinner each evening. The entire complex is built into the trees.

The Forest Lodge has 17 glass fronted suites elevated above the ground. The lodge also has a separate lounge, bar and dining room with views over a natural pan while the dining area is set into the forest.

The Phinda Nyala Lodge has sweeping views across the Lubombo mountains.
