Thank you for dropping by! Take a little time to find out what KwaZulu-Natal has to offer and you will not be disappointed.

Majestic mountains, endlessly rolling verdant hills, miles of deserted beaches lapped by the warm Indian Ocean, lush coastal forest, hidden waterfalls, tranquil lagoons - in short, some of the most glorious scenery in South Africa makes our province very special.

For the adventurous there is a multitude of trails and water related opportunities - and if you are interested in wildlife, KwaZulu-Natal has it all. The variety of game reserves provides the nature enthusiast with all he could wish for. If you are a birder then KwaZulu-Natal is definitely for you with some reserves boasting more than four hundred species.

Want to spend a few days in the African bush? Take a Wilderness Trail through the oldest game reserves in Africa or perhaps you fancy a thatched roof over your head? You will find that the game reserves and mountain reserves of KwaZulu-Natal offer excellent, very reasonable accommodation.

In addition to the widespread wildlife opportunities the province offers, the city of Durban and the coastal resorts host a range of accommodation from five star hotels to backpacker hostels, restaurants to suit every palate and a buzzing nightlife. To tie all this together there is an excellent road network so that wherever you wish to go in our beautiful province, you won't have to spend hours getting there.

As if this were not enough, sub-tropical KwaZulu-Natal is blessed with superb weather - warm days and scented, balmy nights in summer and mild, sunny days and cool, crisp nights in winter.

To top off all of this, the province is privileged to honour its own Royal Family. The Zulu people form a proud nation which has acquitted itself with valour many times over the years and still retains a very strong sense of history. King Goodwill Zwelithini ensures that Zulu tradition remains as strong now as it ever was.

Once again, 'Sawubona!' and welcome to our province!
