Bonamanzi stands in an area of woodland, lala palms and shade trees. Accommodation is in the form of secluded tree houses high in the foliage of coastal sand forest. The Tree Lodge has wonderful views of Lake St. Lucia and comprises three bedrooms, each with its own balcony. The Game Lodge accommodates up to six guests with an open plan dining and lounge area overlooking a waterhole. The Lalapanzi camp comprises fully equipped thatched huts overlooking a dam.

Part of the reserve is set aside for hunting. Photographic safaris can be arranged.

Game includes hippo, giraffe, rhino, impala, kudu, leopard, monkeys, warthog, zebra, hartebeest, nyala and others.
