Credo Mutwa who is South Africa's foremost
cultural historian, has been studying various
aspects of the traditional African culture for the
past sixty years. He is also a traditional healer,
mystic, author, painter and sculptor. His
internationally acclaimed book, lndaba. My
Children was published in 1964 and has been
translated into several European languages.
The contents of this book were inspIred by
Credo Mutwa's visit to the British Museum
of Mankind in 1996.
