Our Website Design Philosophy
- We endeavour to create websites that make our clients money. We never lose site of the fact that most websites exist to just do that and we use only enough technology to create websites that operate at peak efficiency. Indulgent use of excessive 'bells and whistles' may look good but degrades performance. A client's website is important to him and we never regard it as an excuse to show off at his expense.
- We accommodate our clients at every turn but will warn them if one of their requirements may be detrimental to their website's performance.
- We keep our clients informed at all times as their website is being developed both by email and by posting their developing website to a temporary location for their perusal.
- Our websites comply with all current usability standards:
- They are easy for visitors to learn to use
- They are efficient
- They are easy to remember and . . .
- Allow rapid recovery from errors.
- Visitors are satisfied and not frustrated
- They enjoy interacting with your website
- They achieve their goals efficiently
- They cultivate confidence and trust in your product
- Once your website has been published, our job is not yet finished and we attend promptly to any teething troubles. We also ask our clients to comment on our performance so that we may improve it.
- Over a more extended period, we always keep in touch with our clients and their websites so they know that they can always count on us.
- Technically, we create fast, clean pages that are focussed and professionally laid out. We don't use WYSIWYG editors that throw large amounts of code about and rather use hand coded HTML that is faster and more search engine friendly.
- As a normal part of our service we always optimize our pages for maximum search engine visibility by checking content, adding search cues to the code and carefully completing the META tags on each page.
- We use style sheets wherever possible to increase speed and search engine profile. All our websites are coded for Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla and Firefox browsers that collectively represent 98% of the browser market.
- We encourage our clients to keep in touch with us and we offer our advice freely at all times. For those potential clients who already have their own websites, we offer a free, objective website assessment with lots of hints and tips on ways to improve their website.
